More Bad News for Congress President Sonia.
The Congress won a landslide in Haryana in the 2004 Lok Sabha Elections winning 9 of 10 MPs. The BJP won just one seat. This happened because the BJP broke Alliance with Om Prakash Chautala’s INLD.
In the 2005 Assembly Elections the Congress won a huge majority to defeat the Chautala Government.
The Advani enmity with Chutala made it impossible for the BJP and INLD to be in Alliance.
It is no fault of Advani. Chautal had after coming to power treated the BJP very badly.
Narendra Modi as General Secretary was in charge of Haryana.
Chautala had humiliated Narendra Modi.
Thus in 2004 the BJP broke Alliance with Chautala. The Sonia Congress benefited enormously.
THE GROWING POWER OF NARENDRA MODI
Narendra Modi has changed gear after winning in Gujarat. Narendra Modi wants to make Advani the Prime Minister. Narendra Modi used the Gujarat victory to reach out to former BJP Allies.
Just before Midnight on 24th December Narendra Modi after consulting with L.K.Advani and Rajnath Singh Phoned Former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautal and invited him to the Swearing In Ceremony.
Chautala was touched by Narendra Modi’s Humility. Chautala readily agreed.
Chautala was in Panipat.
Chautala woke up Parkash Singh Badal at Midnight to inform him of Narendra Modi’s Invitation.
Chautala went by Road to Chandigarh. From there in Badal’s State Aircraft Chautal went to Gujarat.
The Flight was Late due to Bad Weather. They reached Late. They missed the Ceremony.
They Greeted Narendra Modi at the Chief Minister’s Residence.
The Chautala-Narendra Modi Camaraderie is now being fructified by L.K.Advani in to a Formal Alliance.
The BJP and Chautala will contest 5 Seats each in Haryana.
The BJP-INLD Alliance will win all the 10 seats in Haryana.
The Sonia Congress will lose all the 9 Lok Sabha Seats it won in Haryana.
The Sonia Congress will also lose the State Government to the Chautala-Advani Alliance in the Next Assembly Elections.
Narendra Modi has thus strengthened L.K.Advani’s Prime Ministerial Bid by getting Chautala to endorse Advani.
