Sonia must also ensure that the successor to Ashok Chavan is not a scandalous operator like former Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh who was sacked by Sonia after the Mumbai terror attack.

Sonia must install a Person who will not be perceived as a rampantly corrupt chap.

Sonia must put a Chief Minister who will inject freshness to dispel the unbearable stink inflicted in the Congress Atmosphere by Ashok Chavan.

MARATHA VOTE BASE

The Congress Party-NCP Coalition won the State Government because of the 100% support of the Maratha-Kunbi Voters.

The Maratha Coalition in every District resulted in the massive victory for the Congress-NCP Coalition.

Sonia must replace Ashok Chavan with another Maratha Nominee, to resonate the 100% support of the Maratha Voters.

2009 VICTORY STRATEGY

Almost everyone around Sonia and all the State Leaders had advised Sonia, before the October 2009 Maharashtra Assembly Elections, to break Alliance with Sharad Pawar's NCP.

They argued that the Congress Party would win the Elections on its own by emerging as the single Largest Party, crossing the 100 MLAs mark in the 288 MLAs Assembly.

If Sonia had listened to all these "Break Away from NCP" Voices, then the Congress Party would have lost the Maharashtra Government to the Shiv Sena-BJP Alliance .

If the Congress Party and the NCP had contested separately, then two things would have happened:

ONE: The Anti-BJP-SS Votes would have got divided giving easy victories to the Shiv Sena-BJP Alliance in many Constituencies.

TWO: The Maratha Flood of Votes would not have come to the Congress Party, with both Congress Party and the NCP fielding Maratha Candidates.

The ONLY one who advised Sonia to NOT to break the Coalition with the NCP was Defence Minister A.K.Antony, who is the In-Charge of Maharashtra . Antony understood the impact importance of consolidating the Maratha Votes and in not dissipating the Maratha Energy.

Sonia proved to be wise by accepting the Antony Advice and by continuing in Alliance with the NCP.

Sonia thus won Maharashtra for the Congress Party.

Sonia must continue the Maratha Strategy in Maharashtra after sacking Chief Minister Ashok Chavan.
