Rangasami is popular among all Castes because of his non-casteist style of politics.

Puducherry developed the maximum during Rangasamy’s tenure as Chief Minister.

Rangasamy created Infrastructure in every sphere of Development, on a scale that No Other Chief Minister ever did.

Rangasamy became Chief Minister in 2001.

Puducherry has 30 Assembly Constituencies.

The Union Territory of Puducherry, has a total of 30 assembly seats, spread over Puducherry (23), Karaikal (five), Mahe (one) and Yanam (one).

Puducherry will go for polls on April 13. Results will be counted on 13 May 2011 .

Rangasamy has become part of the Jayalalithaa Alliance .

The Rangasamy Congress is contesting 17 Assembly Seats.

Jayalalithaa's AIADMK is contesting 11 Assembly Seats.

The Other Allies namely Actor Vijayakanth’s DMDK and the Communists, are contesting One Assembly Seat Each, in Alliance with Rangasamy and Jayalalithaa.

The Rangasamy-Jayalalithaa-Vijaykanth-Communists Alliance is more powerful in Voters' support, than the Sonia-Karunanidhi Alliance .

The Sonia Congress is contesting in 17 out of total 30 seats in the Union Territory .

The Karunanidhi led DMK is contesting in 10 Assembly Seats.

The Pattali Makkal Katchi is contesting two seats.
